Thanksgiving is shared with loved ones over a large feast, lots of togetherness, and appreciation for everything we already have. It’s a special time that many of us enjoy because it’s a national holiday, giving us the opportunity to relax and reflect, watch the kids have fun with the grandparents, and laugh about the good times with our parents. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.
Enjoy it while it lasts.
Once the table has been cleared, the football game comes to a conclusion, and the relatives go home, all bets are off. IT’S BLACK FRIDAY!!!
Thanksgiving seems so far away once the stores open for Black Friday. Pushing, kicking, scratching, punching, biting your way to the biggest deals, best savings, and rare items.
It seems silly that people would go to great lengths for a chance to save some money, but for some this is serious business. Too serious. There have been deaths and injuries suffered on Black Friday, because unlike Thanksgiving, shoppers just don’t care for each other. Due to the blood shed after turkey day, maybe we should start calling it Red Friday.
Since Black Friday has become the out-of-control shopping day after Thanksgiving, there have been 4 deaths and 63 injuries. Here are are some of the top items people went crazy for:
- Nintendo Wii
- Teddy Ruxpin
- Star Wars Early Bird Certificate Package
- PlayStation 3
- Tickle Me Elmo
Is it worth it? Risking lives, suffering injuries, and simply treating complete strangers like crap? Probably not. This holiday season, why not enjoy a TRAMPLE-FREE shopping experience at BareBones WorkWear? More on that next week, but I can assure you now, it will be a much happier (and safer) experience.
One week is all that stands between you and the sales all across America. No matter how you blueprint your Black (Red) Friday, be safe and Happy Holidays!
